APPOINTMENT ETIQUETTE
*Updated January 2021 – Several of the mentioned services are no longer available. But the Client Manifesto remains the standard request of all clients to get the best out of therapy. It is truly an honor to be a part of people’s lives as they move from pain to purpose. It becomes my purpose. That’s why I take sessions so seriously. When working with clients, not only are the topics at hand serious, but the progress and forward movement can change your life. I put my full attention in this deep, meaningful work with every client, which is a lot of time and energy. For this reason, I only work with ten (10) committed, select clients per month. Clients are selected by their TAG or issue severity, commitment to the manifesto, and their ongoing progress. To work with me, I need your full attention and commitment. I call this the Client Manifesto. You’re ready to begin when all these things align: 1. Investment
Therapy with me is deep and intensive work. It requires a commitment, and an investment of monies, time, energy, and motivation.”
I find TAG Hearts are the strongest, most motivated, and courageous people I have ever worked with. They are strong because they reach out for help. When they find me… magic happens.
Typically, professionals treat clients in 1-hour, weekly sessions, for what can be years. I have found it much more effective and solution-focused to work with clients in longer, more in-depth sessions. I call these Power Sessions. A Power Session with me usually lasts between 2-3 hours, with the most committed session timelines lasting over the course of just a few months. My clients all express how they find these longer sessions yield bigger breakthroughs. But they have to invest this time, money, and energy to this work.
2. Showing Up Early
“I show up early, and on time”
The clients I choose to work with are the ones who take this amazing, impactful process just as seriously as I do. They show up early and ready for their session.
I always understand the need to re-schedule, life often throws us curveballs, and so I have also built in several ways to adjust appointments in a timely manner that is flexible and easy for you (more info below).
3. Good Intentions
“I am clear on my intentions”
What are you hoping to get out of this journey? What do you want to see be different? What areas of your life do you want to focus on? What matters most to you? All of the answers to these questions help us lay out the groundwork for our work together. As long as you are clear and think positively on what you are hoping for form us working together, you’ll see great progress.
4. Ready
“I am ready to discover new laughter and joy”
Just be ready… for anything… including laughing and feeling joyful again, finding yourself again. It is possible.
5. Courageous
“I courageously approach this process”
Well, this is already easy. You made it here, you are seeking out resources that will work for you, you are asking for help and support–you are already courageous, which is something I hope to see in all of my clients. So, consider this already achieved.
Cancellation Policy
A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation of all appointments. You are welcome to log in to the client portal, call, or email to communicate a cancellation with me (no texts for this notification please). If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not provided notification of at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full cost of the session. However, that’s easily avoided with proper attention.
To help you, all appointments scheduled with me always have 36-hour notice sent to you via phone or email communication, based off of your communication preference, which is also arranged through the client portal.
“Once you’re aligned to my client manifesto, you’re ready to begin.”
